Moline Youth Football & Cheer (MYFC) is made up of Moline High School Football, John Deere & Wilson Middle School Football, and Junior Maroons Football & Cheer under the guidance of the Moline High School Football Varsity Head Coach, Cheer Coach, and the Moline Youth Football & Cheer Board of Directors.
Junior Maroons Football & Cheer is a program for both boys and girls to help teach teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. We give kids the tools needed to continue on in the Moline Football and Cheer programs. Age ranges are 3rd to 6th grade, with 3rd and 4th graders playing together and 5th and 6th graders playing together. Our program is designed to assist in the growth of young men and women both physically and emotionally, while benefiting the future of both the Middle School and High School programs. We utilize drills and plays that align with what these kids will continue to use throughout their football and cheer careers at Moline.
In addition, Challenger Flag Football provides a fully inclusive experience for special needs student-athletes, offering them the opportunity to learn and grow through the game of football. The program is designed to promote teamwork, confidence, and fun in a supportive environment tailored to their needs.
The mission of MYFC is, through education, to enrich the Moline/Coal Valley School District football and cheer programs and enhance the experience of each student-athlete by providing opportunities for cultural, personal, academic, and athletic growth through the character development initiatives:
